Ithaca DSA Presents: Healthcare Reform in Washington

Ithaca Democratic Socialists of America Presents #404:

"Healthcare Reform in Washinton" Nathan Shinagawa, County Legislator,
and Theresa Alt discuss health insurance reform. Single payer would
clearly be best, but Washington politicians are pushing
multi-insurance systems, claiming that including a public one will
keep the many companies honest. Whether or not this can work depends

Ithaca DSA Presents: Brazilians Take Land

Ithaca Democratic Socialists of America Presents #359 (rerun replacing #403):

"Brazilians Take Land" Razack Karriem tells Patricia Rodriguez about
the MST, the Brazilian movement of landless people. They organize
themselves into encampments near unused land, seize the land, and
then organize agriculture on it. The broader movement does not
dictate the what and when to do things but helps with ongoing
education and outreach.
